Hey y’all,

I've remade this site in an effort to make it easier for everyone to communicate and collaborate. Right now, to share the exciting things we’re doing, we’re using Facebook, the FTP server, or the email list to keep others in the loop. What I hope to achieve with the new design of the site is form a new hub of communication and repository of information about what we do. There’s so much that all of us do that’s kept to ourselves because we have no convenient way to put it out there for others.

This site's features:
- easy sharing of your projects, photos, and thoughts
- image gallery that you can upload to via FTP
- user logins and varying levels of permissions
- restricted content (to be kept within our group ;) )
- content search
- capability of seeing how many users are online
- & more!

Here’s how to contribute:
1)    Sign up with a username and password. You’ll be emailed a confirmation link. Click on it and sign in.
2)    I get a confirmation email that you signed up. I have to manually edit your status to “Publisher” so that you can create content. Of course, I’ll do this ASAP, but apologies in advance if I’m not at my computer at the moment!
3)    Once a Publisher, use the links in the User Menu at the left of the page to submit an article or a web link.

At this point, only I as the super-admin can create and edit the sections and categories (categories are subdivisions of sections.) I’m working on a way to make these editable by users with publisher status, and also to put in other blog-like features like keywords.

Check the “Members only” section of the site for more information about what you can do as a publisher. This section is only available to you when you’re logged in as a publisher.

Have fun and help this site become a success!

Last year I and my friend Nick S., a photography buff who set up a darkroom in his basement, made some electrophotograms called Kirlian photos. They're formed by sparks that go through a sheet of photographic paper and into the object being photographed.
